It only felt right that when a new wedding venue popped up in the heart of Geelong city I had to check it out.  The Warehouse Geelong offers a cool combination of rustic and refined. The Bogan family bought the warehouse in 2015, seeing the potential in the factory, they restored it using luxe finishes. It's safe to say they have created what all wedding planners dream of...  good bones ... a sleek blank canvas.

It was a dream bringing together wedding industry professionals from Geelong and the Surf Cost to create this industrial luxe shoot. Working with  passionate creatives come endless opportunities and it's apparent in this styled shoot that we are so lucky to have access to such inspiring talent.

Venue's: Rusty Gate- Curlewis + The Warehouse- Geelong- Selecting this stunning venue was a no brainer to get some stunning shots with an incredible view. Not to mention the lovely Athena who Manages this faultless venue. I had worked with Athena for Weddings at Rusty Gate previously, so I knew that I was in the right hands and that we could get some beautiful images for the shoot.

Cutlery, Glassware & Linen: Event Art- I have worked many Weddings that have featured Event Art’s gorgeous linen, cutlery, décor and styling items. I knew straight away that their style would tie in perfectly with the vision I had in mind for the Styled Shoot.

Photographer: Caroline Sada Weddings- After coming across Caroline’s work via Instagram I was instantly captivated by the stories she could tell through her lense and the moments she could capture in her images. It was a must to have her on board as I knew that she had a creative background, beautiful personality and could capture the story of the shoot to a tee.

Hair & Makeup: Momu Hair- I had worked a few previous Weddings where I had the pleasure of witnessing the talent of Momu Hair. Not only did they make every bridal party feel and look special, but they nailed the look and brief to perfection. I wanted a natural beauty look for the model at the shoot, and knew that Momu would have this more than covered.

Cake: Kiss my Cakes- The infamous Kiss My Cakes. I had seen and heard so much about this talented lady and knew that I had to try my luck at seeing if she was available and wanting to provide a gorgeous and moody cake for the shoot. And boy did she deliver. The beautiful cake that was created for this shoot was unlike anything I had come across, which was exactly what I was looking for in a cake.

Macaron Favours: Little Miss Meringue- Moody blue macarons were something that I had wanted for the shoot from the get go. And having seen the stunning sweets that had been created, and knowing that I would be supporting a local creative, I had to have them on board. The macarons provided were absolutely delightful, visually and tastefully, and so was the business to work with!

Florist: As Daisy Does- Where to start with Daisy. I have worked many Wedding previously that have featured this talented group of ladies wild and creative blooms and remember each time seeing them and thinking, wow, they really tell the story and represent the couples style and personality. I loved that about their beautiful floral designs, and knew that they were an absolute dream to work with!

Signage: Danger and Moon- Annette is such a talented woman who continuously surprises me along with the rest of this industry with her endless ideas, styles and talent. Not to mention she is Geelong Based, so of course I wanted her on board to provide me with some stunning, custom made signage which married up like a dream with the styled table for the shoot.

Bride's Dress: Anna Campbell Bridal- I was lucky enough to have such a stunning choice of gowns to use for the styled shoot. Anna Campbell were so helpful and generous. They had the perfect gown for the shoot, something lacy and elegant. Perfect to set the tone of romance and beauty.

Stationery: Fabled Papery- For the stationery, I wanted something with a mix of moody blues, and silver cloud textures, plus a pop of foil for the font. Fabled papery knew exactly how to put my vision to paper & were completely on board and happy to provide this for the shoot.

Crystals: Our Satellite Hearts- As part of the styling for the shoot, my hope was to feature something new and uncommonly used for Wedding styling. Thus came the idea of crystals, being edgy, dark and beautiful with rough textures. I didn’t need to think twice about where I could source these from as I am a regular at the magical Our Satellite Hearts crystal shop in Geelong. Hails, the owner was so generous in letting me select whatever crystals I felt best showcased the story and style of the shoot & was so kind, flexible and easy to work with.

Rings: Windfall Jewellery- For the rings, it only seemed fitting to find a handmade, original and bespoke Jewellery Business. When I stumbled across Windfall Jewelleries Instagram page and saw the stunning designs that they had available I knew I had found the perfect match that would stand out in the professional shots and tie in with the style and story of the shoot.

Mens Accessories: Peggy & Finn- Peggy & Finn are a local men’s accessories business who have such an original, and creative range of accessories. What caught my eye most were the printed ties and wooden bow ties, as they were unlike anything I had seen before. I had to have them, and felt that this would complete the look for the shoot and wanting as many local vendors involved as possible.
